About Us

The CCA is the peak industry body for the major building and civil construction contractors in Western Australia.

Through its members, the Association is responsible for $5 Billion per year in West Australian turnover, undertaking over half the major building and infrastructure work performed in WA.

Members of CCA are contractors with national operations and with annual turnovers typically exceeding $400 million.

The CCA's prime purpose is to represent the industry to Government, our major clients and relevant stakeholders.

History

The inaugural meeting of the precursor body to the CCA was held on August 22, 1990.

The association was then known as the Australian Federation of Construction Contractors (Western Australia) Industrial Association of Employers.

Its role expanded with the closure of the national office of the Australian Federation of Construction Contractors and on May 3, 1993 it opened its first office and first employed paid staff.

It has operated under the name of Construction Contractors Association of Western Australia from October 14, 1993.
