Objectives

Our objectives are to:

  • Provide strong leadership within the industry
  • Promote a sustainable and mature safety culture in the building and construction industry not only for member companies but including, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Contribute to the development of current and future legislation which reflects the vision of the CCAWA
  • Promote transparent health and safety reporting

Our focus is on:

  • The management of high risk work and high consequence issues to develop a healthy and safer workplace
  • The advancement of health and safety policy and regulation
  • Knowledge sharing and communication of lessons learnt between members
  • Involving stakeholders in workplace health and safety practices
  • The interaction of design and safety through the promotion and application of higher order hierarchal controls
  • Recognising and celebrating excellence in safety
  • Engagement and partnership with key industry groups and regulators
