Objectives
Our objectives are to:
- Provide strong leadership within the industry
- Promote a sustainable and mature safety culture in the building and construction industry not only for member companies but including, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Contribute to the development of current and future legislation which reflects the vision of the CCAWA
- Promote transparent health and safety reporting
Key Focus
Our focus is on:
- The management of high risk work and high consequence issues to develop a healthy and safer workplace
- The advancement of health and safety policy and regulation
- Knowledge sharing and communication of lessons learnt between members
- Involving stakeholders in workplace health and safety practices
- The interaction of design and safety through the promotion and application of higher order hierarchal controls
- Recognising and celebrating excellence in safety
- Engagement and partnership with key industry groups and regulators
